All tourists visiting Meghalaya must register on the official Meghalaya Tourism App. This applies to stays at hotels, homestays, resorts, or even private accommodations. The app generates an e-invite, helps with real-time safety monitoring, and also has an SOS feature for emergencies.
There is no requirement for RT-PCR tests or COVID-19 vaccination certificates to enter Meghalaya. All COVID-related rules have been removed. However, it is a good idea to keep your vaccination proof, as some hotels or activities may ask for it.
Tourists are not allowed to travel in private vehicles for sightseeing. Always use licensed tourist vehicles or official transport services.
